1.      Avoid Infections

In this stage, it is best to avoid further infections. Thus, it would be better to use regular pads than tampons. Also, miscarriage does not affect your regular bathing and showering. However, it would be best to not swim not until the bleeding and or the discharge had stopped.

2.     Do Not Anything into Your Vagina

After the miscarriage, you are not allowed to insert anything in your vagina or any sexual intercourse not until the two weeks had passed or the bleeding had stopped. For assistance, your health care provider will give you instructions to be followed as to the resume of the sexual intercourse.

3.      Be Careful with Resuming Daily Activities

A few days after the miscarriage, you can already return to your regular activities. However, some women prefer to return to their normal activities right after giving birth. As long as they are not heavy and tiring, within 24 hours after the miscarriage, it’s ok for you to do daily activities.

4.      Do Gentle Exercises

Painful cramps are expected to occur but they should not last for an entire day. Also, getting some regular exercise will help as long as your doctor permits.  By exercising regularly, your body will be less stressed, as it will be releasing endorphins or the happy hormones. In this stage, it is important to unwind and move; that is why a 30-minute walk is also advisable to those who had their miscarriage.

5.      Eat Healthy

It is also important to make yourself feel better, and one of the best ways to do so is to eat healthy foods. It would be best to eat nutritious foods that would help you restore and heal your stressed body. Having a healthy diet will also help you regain the physical strength and would help you boost your energy.

Also, it would be best to eat healthy foods that are rich in folic acid like green vegetables, eggs, beef, soy beans, grapefruit, bran flakes, oranges, avocadoand also berries.

6.      Have Regular Check-up

Have a regular check-up with your doctor so as to ensure that you do not have illnesses such as sexually transmitted disease, bacterial infections and other problems that may hinder you from conceiving normally. There are some of these illnesses that have visible symptoms like the herpes.

For those who did not have any infections, their body may be ready to ovulate again two to four weeks after the miscarriage.
